OVG has respectfully retained the iconic roof of the CFG Bank Arena, originally built in 1962 designed by renowned architect, AG Odell Jr. and Associates.  The unique roof line was said to mimic the petals of Maryland’s State Flower, the Black-Eyed Susan.  By maintaining the historic roof, CFG Bank Arena takes its rightful place alongside other iconic landmarks

The Arena renovation was entirely privately financed by OVG, the current project cost estimate is over $250 Million. Not one dollar of taxpayer’s money is involved. OVG insisted taxpayers stand no risk on the redesign of this iconic venue.

OVG is responsible for Arena operations and maintenance of the facility over the life of the 30-year Lease Term; OVG assumes the risks and costs of operating and maintaining the arena.

The CFG Bank Arena is re-designed and re-imagined for concerts. Elements include thoughtful backstage and back of house production design along with acoustic elements to improve live sound, making CFG Bank Arena one of the most sought-after venues in North America for world-class entertainment.
