OVG has respectfully retained the iconic roof of the CFG Bank Arena, originally built in 1962 designed by renowned architect, AG Odell Jr. and Associates.  The unique roof line was said to mimic the petals of Maryland’s State Flower, the Black-Eyed Susan.  By maintaining the historic roof, CFG Bank Arena takes its rightful place alongside other iconic landmarks

The Arena renovation was entirely privately financed by OVG, the current project cost estimate is over $250 Million. Not one dollar of taxpayer’s money is involved. OVG insisted taxpayers stand no risk on the redesign of this iconic venue.

OVG is responsible for Arena operations and maintenance of the facility over the life of the 30-year Lease Term; OVG assumes the risks and costs of operating and maintaining the arena.

The CFG Bank Arena is re-designed and re-imagined for concerts. Elements include thoughtful backstage and back of house production design along with acoustic elements to improve live sound, making CFG Bank Arena one of the most sought-after venues in North America for world-class entertainment.

The naming rights for the Arena were secured through a partnership between Oak View Group and CFG Bank. CFG Bank is a Baltimore-based bank that provides commercial, personal, and online banking solutions to the Mid-Atlantic business community, national cannabis industry, and national healthcare market. CFG Bank is the largest bank headquartered in Baltimore. Jack Dwyer acquired and founded CFG Bank in 2009 with the vision to bring his entrepreneurial, no-limits approach to problem solving to Greater Baltimore through creative financing solutions. CFG Bank offers the same banking tools and level of expertise as larger banks, but takes a personal approach to every interaction so they can create a customized solution to meet a client’s needs. CFG’s team makes banking and lending personal. They take on client goals and challenges as their own and are persistent in finding solutions to help clients grow and succeed.

Yes!  We showcase suites, club rooms, a premium level, theatre boxes, and an outdoor terrace.

The stage has been removed to make way for a better fan experience and better sight lines.

All hard surfaces that are vertical have been covered with a tectum acoustical treatment. The ceiling and underside of balcony have an acoustical baffle treatment attached either horizontally or vertically. The dated ceiling clouds have been removed and careful consideration has gone into the types of surfaces facing the stage as well as in and around the stage area.

We plan to showcase the biggest and best events in the world of entertainment, approximately 120+ events per year.
